The Kirsch 1" Designer Metals Pole is a premium, fixed-width structural drapery rod designed to support drapery setups with a streamlined profile. For the 1" diameter lineup, the Kirsch Designer Metals Collection exclusively produces non-telescoping, stationary poles—ensuring a completely smooth exterior surface that allows drapery rings or bypass C-rings to glide flawlessly without catching on a telescoping seam.

Installation Rules

Custom On-Site Cutting: If your window footprint requires a custom width (e.g., 55 inches), you can easily cut a stock pole down to size using a standard handheld hacksaw.

Hiding Cut Edges: Cutting metal tubes can cause minor paint chipping or rough edges. Always ensure your freshly cut raw edges are placed on the far outer sides of the window—the base collar of your matching 1" finial, end cap, or French return bracket is specifically designed to cup over the pole rim and entirely conceal the cut.

Extending Wide Spans: If your treatment needs to bridge an exceptionally wide window span beyond 93 inches, you can link two fixed-width poles together seamlessly using a Kirsch 1" Internal Splice. When splicing, save the perfect, unblemished factory-cut ends for the center joint so they butt together flush.

Mandatory Bracket Support: A center-support bracket is strictly required directly over any internal splice joint, or at the midpoint of any single span exceeding 5 feet, to maintain absolute stability.
